Richardson Genetics is a small herd of deep pedigreed registered dairy cattle owned by Travis Richardson. Brown Swiss are the main focus, along with a few special Jerseys and Guernseys.

I started showing Brown Swiss heifers through the 4-H Lease Program when I was 12 years old. Both my parents grew up on working dairy farms, so I guess you could say the love of dairy cows is in my blood! After graduating from the 4-H Program, I knew it was time to buy my own heifers to show. I focused on buying heifers and embryos from some of the best maternal lines in each breed. I'm fortunate that through those purchases, you will now start to see animals with a Rich-Gen prefix! 

 

As a full time healthcare worker, showing cows is just a hobby. But in reality, my cows are my life!
